Which President Made a Shutdown Difficult for Everyone? Hint: It Wasn’t Trump

President Trump partially shut down the government because Democrats failed to compromise with him on a solution to a major immigration problem. Despite negative media coverage, Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought and President Trump have tried to make the current partial shutdown "as painless as possible." Quite the opposite was done during the Obama Administration’s 2013 shutdown when the response was "make it as painful as possible." The Daily Caller has the story: Vought joined the OMB in early 2018 and assumed the role of acting director ...

Jenny Beth’s Journal: Yes, Illegal Immigration is a Humanitarian Crisis

Democratic lawmakers refuse to look at the facts: illegal immigration in our country is out of control. About 85 percent of the migrants that have crossed over our borders in the past three months came over illegally. About 90 percent of the heroin coming into this country comes from the southern border. Americans are responsible for paying over $70,000 per illegal immigrant and that number keeps going up. When will members of Congress take this issue seriously? The Daily Caller has Jenny Beth's commentary: Illegal immigration is destructive to the American commun...

Another Push for Draconian Gun Control

Now that Democrats have control of the House, they have begun pushing their gun control agenda. Their latest push has been to regulate private sales and transfers with universal background checks. Already law in a few states like Washington, universal background checks would require gun owners to go through a licensed dealer in order to buy, sell or transfer a firearm. Such laws are unenforceable and place a burden on law enforcement as well as lawful gun owners. Not to mention, such a law would not be enforceable without a gun registry. Breitbart has the story: ...

Tea Party Patriots Action Responds to Democrats’ Unhinged Behavior

Atlanta, GA -- Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin responds to unhinged behavior exhibited by Democrats at the start of the 116th Congress. “The 116th Congress is barely one day old, and already new members of the House Democratic caucus are going off the deep end with unhinged behavior, with intentions and actions they hid from American voters in 2018. One member publicly used the vulgar word 'motherf****r' — in front of her own son, no less — in calling for the President's impeachment. Another is already calling for tax rates as high as ...

Jenny Beth Martin FreedomFest Remarks

Good morning, and thank you for coming out so early. Given that we’re in Las Vegas, I’m reminded of something Frank Sinatra used to say – he felt sorry for people who don’t drink, because when they wake up in the morning, that’s the best they’re going to feel all day. Now, I don’t drink. But at this hour of the morning, I think I know what he was talking about. We’re here this morning to kick off the third day of Freedom Fest 2018, and I want to welcome you to the third day of the largest gathering of free-thinking people in the world. Tomorrow, in ...
