Washington, D.C. — Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin — responding to today’s impeachment hearing — slammed House Democrats for their effort to overturn the results of the 2016 election and issued the following statement:

“Day One is done, and one thing is clear: Adam Schiff and House Democrats got nothing — no evidence, no facts, no testimony from any witness who can testify directly that he heard directly from the President of the United States that there was a condition on U.S. aid to Ukraine. The aid flowed, despite the fact that no investigation into the Bidens had been launched. And nothing anybody said today changes those two simple facts. Their effort to overturn the 2016 election is nothing but a witch hunt. The Democrats should shut this down now and get back to doing the country’s business.”
