CALENDAR: The House and Senate will both return on Monday, and stay in session through Thursday.   LAST WEEK ON THE HOUSE FLOOR: The House came back to work last Tuesday and took up and passed three bills under Suspension of the Rules. One of those bills was H.R. 1044, the so-called “Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act.” It was passed by a vote of 365-65, with 140 Republicans voting in favor and 57 Republicans voting against. Tea Party Patriots Action Responds to the 2020 Census Citizenship Question Case Before the Supreme Court

Atlanta, Ga. – Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin today responded to the Supreme Court hearing arguments regarding adding a citizenship question to the 2020 Census: "For more than a hundred years, the decennial Census included a citizenship question, and no one objected. Asking citizenship status is a perfectly reasonable question. The Supreme Court should rule in favor of the Trump Administration’s move to restore the citizenship question to the 2020 Census.” ###
