Medicare for All Will Run & Ruin Your Life

2020 Democrats, besides Joe Biden, all have one thing in common: their support for Medicare for All. Joe Biden continues to speak of the non-existent successes of Obamacare, claiming he will build on the abject failure that is the Affordable Care Act. But, while he aimlessly babbles on, all other 2020 Democrats continue their push for a single-payer system. They point to examples like Sweden, saying that in the US we could have their fairy tale, utopian healthcare system. The truth? According to Curtis Thompson, writing in the Jefferson City News Tribune, Medicare for All will run, and ruin, your life. Medicare for All will cripple our medical ...

Moderate Democrats are Socialists in Sheep’s Clothing

The mainstream media portrays the Democrat presidential primary as a fight between socialists and moderates for the party’s future. On one side, Sen. Bernie Sanders has embraced the label of democratic-socialist and pushes for policies like government-run health care and free college for all. Candidates like Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg portray themselves as the moderate alternatives to Sen. Sanders and the other progressive candidates. Unfortunately, their arguments do not pass the sniff test. Biden and Buttigieg wrap socialist policy in moderate rhetoric but still advocate for the expansion of government power and the reduction of individual ...

Free Market Healthcare Solutions

Healthcare continues to be one of the most contentious and important debates we have in America. Everyone needs some kind of healthcare, from dentists to surgeons. In fact, Americans rank healthcare as the number one policy issue for voters; though, the populace remains split as to how we should go about fixing the industry. The Heritage Foundation thankfully has a solution: the free market. Watch this Heritage Foundation video to learn more: https://youtu.be/BtEdYly-97g   One of the most important points that Heritage touches on is the seven states that obtained waivers from Obamacare mandates to try and implement other policies and ...

Medicare for All, Means Higher Taxes for All

Elizabeth Warren has become famous for dodging the question of how will you pay for all of your “free” programs? She continues to make fantasy land promises, without providing any explanation as to how she would pay to provide these utopian programs. So, after being asked nearly 100,000 times, Elizabeth Warren finally released her Medicare for All plan, how much it would cost, and how she intends to pay for it— and it only costs $20.5 trillion. Many that saw this price tag immediately thought, how are we going to afford that? At nearly 5 times the annual federal budget, Warren’s plan is expensive, to say the least. Republicans immediately ...

Medicare for All? More like Bankruptcy for All

Elizabeth Warren has spent her entire presidential campaign dodging, with Muhammad Ali like precision, the question of how she intends to pay for Medicare for All. She has consistently claimed that costs will go up for the wealthy, but will go down for middle-class families. President Trump put it best when he said, “sounds good, but doesn’t work.” Warren’s Medicare for All plan has an estimated cost of $30 trillion, according to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget. This same committee took a look at how Warren could possibly pay for this plan, and…well…the options aren’t good. Fox News broke down the committee’s ...

Texas AG: Obamacare individual mandate ‘unconstitutional’

Republican Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton says Obamacare as it now stands—gutted of the requirement that Americans purchase health insurance or pay a penalty—is unconstitutional because its individual mandate no longer raises tax revenue and instead simply forces Americans to purchase health insurance. “The Commerce Clause gives Congress the authority to regulate commerce, not to compel it. But [Chief Justice John Roberts] rescued the individual mandate by viewing it as a tax. Its saving grace was that it raised revenue for the federal government,” writes Paxton. “But that reasoning crumbled when Congress repealed the penalty. Con...

American Majority Opposes Taxpayer-Funded Insurance for Illegal Immigrants

Last week, many Democratic candidates during the debates said they want illegal immigrants covered under a taxpayer-funded single-payer healthcare plan. Unfortunately for those candidates, Americans don’t want that to happen. Even in a CNN poll, we find that 60% of Americans do not want this. Daily caller has the poll: Nearly 60% of Americans oppose making government-provided health insurance available to illegal immigrants, according to a CNN poll released Monday. “Do you think health insurance coverage provided by the government should or should not be available to undocumented immigrants living in the United States?” reads a question ...

“Free” Always Comes With Strings Attached

Bernie Sanders’ delusions run deep. He argued that Americans would be "delighted to pay more in taxes" if his policies are carried out. Fox News has the details on Sanders’ CNN appearance: "Look, what we have to understand, for example... the United States is the only major country on Earth not to guarantee health care to all people as a right," Sanders explained. "In many countries in Europe, Germany for one, you go to college and the cost of college is zero. I think in Finland they actually pay you to go to college. In most countries around the world the level of income and wealth inequality, which in the United States today is worse than at ...

California: Reward Illegal Immigrants, Punish Taxpayers

Once again, California puts the interest of illegal immigrants over its own citizens. The state will become the first state in the country to pay for illegal immigrants to have full health benefits. California’s Medicaid, “Medi-Cal,” will pay for tens of thousands of illegal immigrants with costs estimated to be about $98 million per year. How are they going to pay for it? For part of it, the state will implement an individual-mandate penalty fee (very similar to ObamaCare) for people who don’t have health insurance. For the rest, taxpayers will be responsible for the hefty bill. Will that be enough? Fox News reports: Under an agreement ...

If Social Security Becomes Insolvent, What Does That Mean for Medicare-for-All?

According to a new report, Social Security will be insolvent and unable to pay the full value of promised benefits to recipients by 2035 and it will exceed its income by 2020.  About 67 million people are currently recipients; however, if nothing changes, the program will have to impose cuts of 20 percent to all beneficiaries. For many who rely solely on Social Security, that’s significant. Even Medicare will be unable to cover the full cost of benefits for those who qualify. Meanwhile, 2020 contenders like Bernie Sanders are proposing Medicare-for-All to be the savior of healthcare.  What Bernie Sanders doesn’t understand is his pipe dream ...
