Then the House took up ...

Climate Activists Are All Emotions, No Facts

Climate change continues to have the left up in arms – ironic, considering they hate guns. As we’ve pointed out before, this new brand of climate change activism is just a vehicle for instituting socialism. We cannot allow this to continue. Just look at the pure emotion from climate activists like Greta Thuneberg. She’s not making arguments, nor is she doing scientific research. She’s sitting in front of cameras and crying. Take it from Emma Roberts, a conservative 17-year-old from Texas: It is preposterous to me that many of my peers are so afraid of climate change that they say they can hardly think about it. I think what they should ...

As expected, Democrats instead offered a motion to table the resolution. That motion to table the Biggs resolution passed by a straight party-line vote of 218-185. Then the House passed two bills under Suspension. On Tuesday, the House passed the Rule for consideration of H.R. 2513, the Corporate Transp...

It’s Time to Scrap Rogue Obama-Era Agency

When it comes to big government and federal overreach, nothing stinks quite like Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s pet project: the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The CFPB is a monster of constitutional violations, and the U.S. Supreme Court has finally taken notice. The Competitive Enterprise Institute explains: The CFPB was meant to protect American pocketbooks and property. However, its founders—the drafters of the Dodd-Frank Act of 2010—felt that in order to do so, it had to be protected from political interference. That resulted in the agency being insulated from accountability to the president, Congress, and the courts. Dodd-Frank gave ...

Liberal State and Local Governments Protect Criminals, Punish the Law-Abiding

As of late, liberal state and local governments are increasing their efforts to evade federal immigration laws and protect dangerous criminals rather than their own taxpaying citizens. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers recently reported that two alleged child rapists are on the run after New York and New Jersey police departments refused to hold the suspects in jail and cooperate with ICE. The first illegal immigrant was arrested in New Jersey for allegedly restraining and sexually assaulting a child younger than 16 years old. ICE filed to have the man held at a New Jersey county jail for the next two days, but the request was denied, ...

High School Cheerleaders Punished for Their Support of Trump

What a way to discourage free speech and the freedom to support whomever you please! A group of North Carolina cheerleaders were placed on probation by local education officials for posing with a “Trump 2020” banner. The students were encouraged to wear red, white, and blue and to show their patriotic pride at a football game. The photo of the cheerleaders was posted on social media and “caused people to feel uncomfortable.” Todd Starnes has the commentary: It’s not quite clear who complained about that banner, but all you-know-what broke out – leading to a school district investigation as well as a NCHSAA investigation. “Stanly ...

Tea Party Patriots Action: ‘Ready, Fire, Aim’ Is Dems’ Strategy for Dealing with Trump

Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin – reacting to news that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi now wants to open an official “impeachment inquiry” to determine whether or not the House should impeach President Trump – today slammed Pelosi and other pro-impeachment Democrats, and issued the following statement: “’Ready, fire, aim.’ That's the Democrats’ strategy for dealing with President Trump. They’re so determined to undo the results of the 2016 election that they will stoop to any level, bar no holds, and resort to whatever chicanery is necessary to achieve their goals. “In this case regarding a phone ...

Tax Reform is Still Relevant and is Still Working

Tax reform is just as important now as it was during the battle to pass Trump’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. While we reap the benefits of the tax cuts, we must maintain vigilance to ensure the Democrats don’t try to raise them again. The best way is to educate those who don’t realize they actually are keeping more of their money. Here's who’s winning: Winning: Most US taxpayers The vast majority of American tax filers — more than 65% — will see their overall tax burden decrease by at least $100, according to the congressional Joint Committee on Taxation. See page 7 of this helpful analysis. Slightly less than 30% of filers will see ...

Socialism Rears Its Old Ugly Head

When it comes to political philosophy, there are two ideas so intrinsically opposite they cannot help but clash together in fiery ways. Conservatism, a pillar of society in the United States, and Socialism, the economic and political system that has ravaged countless fledgling nations and decimated populations. How has this horrible idea once again taken hold in the minds of Americans, youths especially? Heritage may have an answer: Is a specter of socialism haunting America, especially among our millennials? There is disquieting evidence of many young Americans’ sympathy for socialism. Exhibit A: 2.052 million people under the age of 30 voted for ...
